Whitley Road Big Prawn Mee, Novena

I've seldom seen prawn noodles that actually have enough portions of prawns that makes me feel is generous. This place is probably one of them, but at $8 for a medium sized bowl, I really didn't expect any less. Whitley Road Big Prawn Mee is located along the stretch of eateries at Novena across the road from the church.

Prawn and pork rib noodle

Prawn mee dry(regular)

Prawn mee soup (medium)

This place does whip up some decent prawn noodles and I'm sure they're doing good service to their big prawny name. The soup noodles comes with a noticeably more diluted prawn soup as compared to the bowl of soup that accompanies the dry noodles. You also get to choose the type of noodles which you prefer. All in all, it was quite enjoyable, althought not really filling for how much it cost. The large sized portions comes at $10 which is really quite expensive. Which makes sense why the place also sells fried bee hoon and wu xiang which really helps fill'er up.
