That a bandwich, a surger or just something in betwixt?

We've noticed the pre-made hamburger patties that are sold at Culina in Fairprice Finest for some time and have wondered. We got past wondering this time round and decided to get a couple to try sizzling up some burgers for ourselves.

Nothing fancy. Just some salt, pepper with melted cheese in some Gardenia wholemeal bread which we already had. The objective was to taste those patties and see if we liked them.

The mince was a little too fine. Not gritty and "masculine" if you catch my drift. The texture ended up with a mouthfeel more akin to sausages rather than a beef patty. In fact, there are many sausages out there with a coarser grind. The other reason why this didn't work out was also the lack of fat in the mix. Not much flavour.

Now we know where not to get beef patties.
