We've been having Zazz Pizza (一, 二, 三, 四, 五, 六, 七, 八, 九, 十) more often lately because they're sadly closing at the end of October. Something to do with building renovation for Cross Street Exchange.
First time getting lemon tea here. There's vanilla flavour in it. Hmmm......
So we've noticed that the pears used in their grilled Brie starter weren't as soft or juicy today like the previous times we've had them. Seems like they don't have a secret supplier of conference pears out of season after all. 😏
Spaghetti and meatballs. Sauce was pomodoro with some cheese. The thing on top was a poached egg, not burrata. We got this because their meatball starter was not bad tasting.
Aside from the poached egg, there was a stewed whole Roma tomato in the pasta. Tangy and umami that was.
Meatballs were stuffed with cheese. But the texture of the meat was too fine and lacked character for a meatball. Didn't taste like the meatball starter we thought it would.
Zazz has one of the better if not the best Hawaiian pizzas around. Change my mind if you can. We upped their ante by adding pomegranate so that there was extra sour on top of the citrus sweet to cut through the ham and cheese. 👍🏼
